South Valley Wins £E 189 million Concrete Contract

South Valley Cement announced Monday that it had won a £E 189 million contract to supply concrete to Alexandria Construction for the Madinaty project east of Cairo.

Alexandria Construction is a unit of the Talaat Moustafa Group, the prime contractor for Madinaty, a large residential complex at a site in the desert.

South Valley Cement said in a statement it had already started supplying the concrete to the project.

The Group's principal activity is to invest its capital into the stock market. Earlier the Group was established to produce various types of cement and other derivatives products from the cement industry associated with the production of building materials and other supplies. The Group operates in Egypt.
